Comprehensive Support Services for

Your Child’s Growth and Learning

Children in Motion and Associates consult with schools in a variety of ways. As most private schools do not have an occupational therapist and speech therapist on staff, we offer the ability to provide services to address many areas that help students and staff achieve their highest level of learning. Our team is equipped to help faculty and staff better understand developmental milestones by providing workshops as well as classroom observations to empower our educators and help children thrive.

Developmental Screenings

Therapy screenings are informal assessments used to determine whether a child may benefit from a more in-depth evaluation in areas such as speech, language, hearing, motor skills, or sensory processing. These screenings are less comprehensive than full evaluations, focusing instead on identifying potential red flags that might indicate developmental delays or other challenges. A screening is often the first step in supporting children who may benefit from targeted therapy services. Screenings typically occur in the academic environment. Our team of therapists will go to your child’s school and perform the screenings on site.

Student and Classroom Observations

Our team can come into your classroom to assess students’ behaviors, skills, and interactions in their natural learning environment. These observations provide insight into a student’s academic abilities, social skills, behavior, and how they interact with peers and teachers in a classroom setting. We can evaluate the environment and provide appropriate recommendations.
